Jackson on son’s repudiation: ‘Ultimately, we get along’
CNN’s John Roberts talked with Jesse Jackson who apologized for making crude comments about Barack Obama while preparing for an interview with Fox News.
Jackson explained, “A part of my anguish, frankly, beyond that is the limitage of the significant but faith based programs, we need faith based initiatives. We also need government based. When bridges are collapsing, rivers are being overrun, it requires beyond faith — the substance of real investment.”
Roberts asked Jackson about Jesse Jackson Jr.’s repudiation of his father’s remark. Jackson replied, “He is my Congressman and I am his father. Ultimately, we get along.”
