John Bolton: Unconstitutional to help Spanish torture investigation
A Spanish Judge has opened a investigation on behalf of Spanish citizens who say they were tortured while being detained at Guantanamo Bay detention center. Fox News’ Megyn Kelly said judge Judge Baltazar Garzon had “gone rogue” by opening the investigation.
Fox News invited former ambassador John Bolton to preemptively criticize Attorney General Eric Holder for potentially cooperating with the Spanish judge. “He needs to go back and read the Constitution. Because after all, tt is the President’ s responsibility and his responsibility as Attorney General to preserve, protect, and defend the Constitution. That’s what the oath says and what that means as a practical matter is that if there’s anything that needs to be decided about these former officials, we are quite capable of doing it ourselves, thank you very much,” said Bolton.
