Obama honors veterans, lays wreath at Tomb of the Unknowns
President Barack Obama visited Arlington National Cemetery to honor U.S. armed forces on Veterans Day. The president laid a wreath at the Tomb of the Unknown Soldier followed by remarks to a select group of veterans and their families.
The President issued a proclamation earlier in the day. “We have a sacred trust with those who wear the uniform of the United States of America,” he said. “We reflect upon the invaluable contributions of our country’s Veterans and reaffirm our commitment to provide them and their families with the essential support they were promised and have earned.”
