Hackers hit House websites: ‘F— Obama’
Some twenty congressmembers and House congressional committee websites were hit with targeted hacks this morning after President Barack Obama’s State of the Union speech.
A group called the Red Eye Crew claimed responsibility. The attacks were first reported by Hotline.
“The Red Eye Crew has been responsible for other hacks before,” Hotline reports. “The group claimed credit for hacking a site belonging to Old Dominion Univ. in ’08 and Wieden + Kennedy, a New York ad agency.”
The home page for the Republicans on the House Oversight Committee this morning reads: “F—- OBAMA!! Red Eye CREW !!!!! O RESTO E HACKER !!! by HADES; m4V3RiCk; T4ph0d4 — FROM BRASIL.”
