Friday Genius Ten “Self-Defeating Behavior” Edition
In today’s news about creepy dudes with no game trying to compensate with creepy behavior, someone designed a Foursquare app that calculates the “love ratio” for dudes of nearby places, i.e. how many women are in the place. Or how many women checked into Foursquare, which is hardly a universally beloved application, so really, you can’t tell much about a place from a lot of Foursquare check-ins, except that it’s the kind of crowd where people would check in to Foursquare a lot. It’s supposedly to help dudes get laid, but sadly, there’s no such thing as a phone app that gives you game. I predict that this will, at best, allow dudes with no game to stand around staring at more women than they might have otherwise. Ironically, downloading such an application is the sort of thing that will signal to women that you’re a creep and best avoided, so if anything, it’s actually detrimental to the development of game.
To honor this story, I looked for songs in the theme of “fuck off”, and there are a few. I picked this one because it rocks, but to be perfectly honest, the lyrics don’t fit the story that well. But the title does! Leave your mixes in comments, and/or any comments about this story or whatever’s on your mind today.
