After calling Pelosi ‘garbage’ and causing mass school lockdown, GOP staffer loses job
It’s not quite clear why conservative talk show host Joyce Kaufman resigned from her position as chief of staff to newly elected Rep. Allen West (R-FL) before she even began the job. But for those looking for a reason, there are plenty to be found.
On Tuesday, Kaufman raised the ire of Democrats when she referred to outgoing House Speaker Nancy Pelosi “garbage.”
Hours after that story broke, Kaufman was linked to a mass lockdown of schools in Florida, after an unidentified individual sent Kaufman’s radio station a vague threat to blow up schools. That prompted some to wonder whether Kaufman had inspired the would-be bomber.
Now the Associated Press reports that Kaufman is blaming her “big mouth” for losing the position as chief of staff to Rep. West.
