Lawyer: Recording proves DSK accuser never wanted money
After meeting with prosecutors for eight hours Wednesday, the lawyer for the hotel maid accusing Dominique-Strauss Kahn of sexual assault emerged to say that audio recordings prove that Nafissatou Diallo never said she wanted to make money off the ordeal.
A report published in The New York Times had alleged that Diallo was caught on tape telling a friend that she was looking for a payday.
“For the last several hours, we have been upstairs listening to that tape, and that shows that the victim never said the words ‘He has a lot of money and I know what to do,'” attorney Kenneth Thompson told reporters.
Diallo was expected to speak at a press conference Thursday.
