Tiny camera strapped to lit firework captures its flight
Ever wonder what a lit firework would see, if it were more than gunpowder and chemicals packed in a very specific order into a cardboard tube? Even if you didn’t, there’s now video footage to satisfy your curiosity.
According to Mashable:
Videographer Jeremiah Warren used an 808 #11 spy camera similar to the one pictured below. Despite its small stature (it’s a mere 2.6 inches long and 1.4 inches wide), the $120 camcorder can shoot and record HD in 720p.
Regardless of how it was done, it’s very cool to see the firework’s point of view, from ignition to to explosion to its fall back to earth. Watch below.
