Without oil, Yemen’s economy falters
CNN’s Nic Robertson explored Yemen’s battered economy, where car showrooms sit empty, and electricity is turned off for hours at the time to try and stave off shortages. An oil pipeline was blown up, ruining the country’s export business, as well as forcing Yemen to import oil to cover its own needs.
