‘Year in Race’: 90-second film recaps 2011’s infamous stories on race
Twelve months now having passed since the year 2011 dawned, lots of media outlets are looking back on the tumultious trail left behind. Colorlines.com is no exception.
In what amounts to a rather compelling trailer for their website, Color Lines produced a 90-second short film recapping the most important race-related stories of 2011, providing a short survey of a year that broke down many barriers, but also built many up.
The website, a publication of the racial justice think-tank Applied Research Center, provides daily coverage of race-related issues such as immigration reform, social injustice and economic fairness.
