Grayson calls Gingrich the ‘most hateful person in American politics’
Former Rep. Alan Grayson (D-FL), a man known for not mincing his words, blasted former House Speaker Newt Gingrich during a Tuesday appearance on MSNBC.
“It’s going to get very ugly [in Florida], but it is not going to make any difference,” he said. “Newt Gingrich is the most hateful person in American politics today and he is well on his way to becoming the most hated.”
“His disapproval ratings are now at 60 percent nationwide, which is very close to his name recognition,” Grayson continued. “And the more people know him, the more they are going to hate him. He is the new Nixon and none of this money is going to make any difference in that regard.”
Gingrich vowed to run a positive campaign for President of the United States in December. But after facing a barrage of negative ads, he changed course and began publicly criticizing his rivals.
Gingrich and Romney have both released ads in Florida attacking each other.
