Olbermann: ‘Karen Handel is gone’ but ‘Komen’s corruption remains’
Following the resignation of Karen Handel from the Susan G. Komen Foundation, Countdown host Keith Olbermann turned his focus Tuesday evening towards castigating the group and its CEO Nancy Brinker.
“Ms. Brinker has dishonored both her sister’s memory and this essential cause,” Olbermann said in a “Special Comment” segment. “Until she acts, either by correcting what she acquiesces too, or by leaving the organization to somebody who truly cares, until she does one or the other — since there are a thousand of other generous organizations which perform what Komen performs — Komen does not deserve a dollar of donations from a shocked public.”
He added: “Karen Handel is gone. Komen’s corruption remains.”
