Two cannibalism suspects arrested in Russia
Two men have been arrested for separate acts of cannibalism in Russia, authorities told The Moscow Times this week.
One man, in Vladivostok, allegedly killed a friend and disposed of his body by eating it. The human remains were reportedly shared with another man.
Another individual, in Belinsky, was arrested this week for six different counts of murder and cannibalism, and stands accused of keeping a diary of his exploits.
The diary reportedly explained how the man killed his victims with a blade and ate their livers. Authorities said six bodies were discovered in his back yard, the report noted.
The two recent arrestees are just the most recent in a string of cannibalistic attacks seen across Russia in recent years. Several homeless men were arrested in 2009 after murdering an acquaintance, eating part of his body, then selling the rest to a “kebab house,” The Moscow Times added.
