Colbert scolds Pixar for its ‘blatant rainbow agenda’
Tuesday night on Comedy Central’s “The Colbert Report,” host Stephen Colbert dedicated part of his “Tip of the Hat, Wag of the Finger” segment to the film and multimedia company Pixar, over what he called Pixar’s “blatant rainbow agenda.”
Pixar just released the feature film, “Brave,” which tells the story of a 15-year-old girl’s decision to run away from home rather than face an arranged marriage to a man she doesn’t love. Colbert agreed with some in the media who speculated that this might mean the heroine of “Brave” is a “lesbian princess.”
“Because any 15-year-old girl who resists an arranged marriage has just gotta be gay,” he said.
Colbert said that Pixar “has been rubbing our faces in it for years.” Like the film “Monsters, Inc.,” which he called “a big hairy guy looking for a one-eyed monster.”
Or “Up,” about “an elderly and his furry pal with the kinky collar, and their attempt to get it up?” Or “Cars 2,” which the host said “both sucked and blew.”
