‘Batman’ turns in criminal to British police
A man dressed as comic book hero Batman showed up in a British police station last week to hand over a burglary suspect, officers revealed Monday.
The caped crusader was looking a little pudgy adorned in gear resembling Adam West’s 1960s Batman outfit, which looks decidedly more old-school than Christian Bale’s more modern “Dark Knight” getup.
Nevertheless, there he was, right in the middle of the West Yorkshire Police Station with a 27-year-old man in his custody on the morning of Feb. 25.
“It is understood the body language of the two men suggested they may have been known to each other, and there was no resistance from the suspect, who was later charged with handling stolen goods and fraud-related offences,” The Guardian noted.
The mysterious crime fighter’s identity remains unknown.
