Graphic Syria video shows children’s corpses after alleged chemical weapon strike
On Wednesday evening’s edition of “All In with Chris Hayes,” host Chris Hayes showed video of what is alleged to be a chemical weapon attack on rebels by the Syrian government. According to reports, ten villages to the north and east of Damascus were hit by missiles tipped with some form of nerve agent, resulting in more than 1,000 casualties.
Victims were observed to be struggling to breathe and foaming at the mouth before death. Many had the constricted pupils indicative of a central nervous system poison.
Hayes warned as producers rolled the video that, while what they are showing is graphic and disturbing, it should be borne in mind that what they are not showing was even worse.
“As we begin to show you this video,” he said, “it should be noted that much of it we chose not to show because it contains uncovered bodies, many of them children.”
