Scientology laid bare in ‘America’s Book of Secrets’ tonight with Raw Story editor’s help
Tonight on the H2 network, the third season of America’s Book of Secrets opens with what should be a controversial episode: The show has talked to dozens of former members and experts to reveal the secrets of Scientology. One of those experts was Raw Story executive editor and Scientology watchdog Tony Ortega, who told H2 that Scientology is in the grips of several different crises that has it on the brink.
Scientology grew out of the writings of scienc fiction writer L. Ron Hubbard, and reached its greatest extent, about 100,000 members, in the 1980s. But major defections by top officials and other problems have it in the news more than ever.
