WATCH LIVE: Camelopardalids meteor shower expected to light up the sky
Astronomers have been anticipating a show of lights emanating from Friday night’s Camelopardalids meteor shower starting around 10:30 p.m. EST.
“The predictions at this point are that we will see a few hundred meteors per hour,” University of Western Ontario associate professor Paul Wiegert told Agence France-Presse.
The shower, stemming from dust trailing a small comet known as 209P/Linear, is expected to be visible across North America, and NASA has provided a live-stream starting at 10:30, which can be seen below.
