MS high school softball coach and pregnant wife had sex with underage player: police
A Mississippi high school softball coach and his wife, a high school teacher who assisted coaching the team, are each facing sexual battery charges after being accused of having sex with a 15-year-old player on the team.
Michael L. Porter, 27, and his wife, Blair Elizabeth Porter, 26, of Brandon, Mississippi, each face up to 30 years in prison if convicted, according to WBLT.
According to the police report, the mother of the girl gave police her daughter’s phone, stating that the couple had been contacting her daughter after school hours, and that it “went well beyond that of a teacher student relationship.”
The mother told police she believed the relationship with the couple began while her daughter was still attending middle school.
After obtaining a warrant to read texts on the phone, investigators recovered over 250 pages of messages, including sexually explicit language and naked pictures.
Police confronted the alleged victim and she admitted that a sexual incident that occurred at the couple’s home, with a second one, involving oral sex, taking place at the high school in the softball field’s press box.
According to the indictment the wife, Blair Porter, arranged the sexual encounters.
Michael and Blair Porter were each booked and released on bail, with Blair Porter leaving the courthouse looking visibly pregnant.
Both have been terminated from their jobs and face having to register as sex offenders if convicted.
