Bronx police are looking for two men who assaulted a transgender woman late last month at a deli on East 149th St. in Melrose.

According to WABC, the victim was walking into the store at about 2:30 a.m. amid antigay and anti-trans catcalls by men standing outside. Two men followed her inside and attacked her, leaving her with cuts and bruises to her face and head.

Investigators intend to prosecute that attack as hate crime. Anyone with information that could lead to the arrest or conviction of either assailant is urged to contact the New York City Police Department Crime Stoppers Hotline at 800-577-TIPS.
