Rush Limbaugh’s brother: ‘Pro-abortionists lay a trap’ by demanding exceptions for ‘saving a mother’s life’
Conservative author David Limbaugh, the brother of Rush Limbaugh, told Fox Business Network on Thursday that advocates for the reproductive rights of women insisted on exceptions for the life of the mother as a way to “trap” opponents of abortion.
Fox Business host Ashley Webster kicked off an interview with Limbaugh by noting that both Jeb Bush and Ben Carson had been asked if they would go back in time and kill Adolf Hitler as a baby if they could. Bush said that he would, but Carson said that he did not believe in abortion under any circumstances.
“I think it’s a trap,” Limbaugh opined. “The pro-abortionists always want to lay a trap by pointing to the worst, the most egregious examples and exceptions — saving a mother’s life.”
“Right, the extremes,” Webster agreed.
“Yes, and then try to poke holes in those who [are against] abortion,” Limbaugh added. “I think it’s a silly question. I wouldn’t abort anyone, I’m not God.”
“It’s an absurd, offensively stupid question.”
