Police called to home of ‘affluenza’ teen’s father after ex-girlfriend claims she was attacked
Police in Tarrant County, Texas responded to a 911 call Friday afternoon from the ex-girlfriend of the father of ‘affluenza’ teen Ethan Couch, claiming she had been assaulted by the teen’s dad.
According to Fox News 4, police confirmed that the ex-girlfriend of Fred Couch — father of the jailed teen — reported that she had been attacked Friday afternoon.
After telling the dispatcher Couch had choked her, the unidentified woman refused to cooperate when officers showed up and declined to press charges.
In their report, the officers stated that they saw marks on the woman’s neck consistent with choking — but that the woman refused to let them take photos of the bruising.
This is not the first run-in with the law for Fred Couch, whose son is currently in jail after skipping out of the country while on probation for killing four people while driving drunk in 2013.
The father of the teen was previously arrested for impersonating a police officer in 2014.
No charges were filed against Fred Couch.
