Five people killed in Alabama, suspect in custody: police
Five people have been killed in rural Citronelle, Alabama, and a suspect was arrested across the border in Mississippi, police said on Saturday.
It was not immediately clear how the victims were killed or whether the homicides took place inside a building or outside.
The Mobile County Sheriff’s Office said on Twitter that a suspect was taken into custody in Green County, Mississippi, but did not immediately identify the person. Green County is about 10 miles (16 km) west of where the bodies were discovered.
Alabama Media Group, citing a sheriff’s official, reported that one of the five people killed was believed to be a pregnant woman.
A spokeswoman for the sheriff’s office could not immediately be reached for comment.
