Indiana teen loses game of Russian roulette but survives gunshot wound to head
An Indiana teen shot himself in the head while playing Russian roulette.
The teen was playing the game — which involves placing one round in the chamber of a revolver, spinning the cylinder, pointing the weapon at one’s own head and pulling the trigger — with some friends at a home in New Castle, reported WXIN-TV.
The boy lost the game but survived the self-inflicted gunshot wound.
He was awake and alert as medical crews took him about 3 p.m. Tuesday to a nearby hospital.
The teen’s name was not released, and no further information was provided about his condition.
It’s not clear where the teens got the weapon and whether any adults will be charged in connection with the shooting.
