On CNN, former Speaker of the New York City Council Christine Quinn smacked down right-wing provocateur Jeffry Lord for minimizing the scandal over President Donald Trump's surprise ban on transgender military service.

"You don't think transgender people are like the easiest people to pick on in this society?" host Anderson Cooper asked.

"These are human beings, Jeffrey," Quinn reminded. "These are American human beings and he just woke up and threw them under the bus."

Lord then tried to distract by shifting the conversation to a discussion of Viagra.

"You're suggesting President Trump should come out and ban Viagra in the U.S. military?" Cooper asked. "Do you think the President has the backbone to actually ban Viagra in the U.S. military?

'You're being ridiculous!' Quinn told Lord after he insisted that's exactly what he's saying.

"Let me tell you, that is not my greatest concern – erectile dysfunction for a host of different reasons, but I understand some of my brothers have challenges and I want to support them to live a full life," Quinn emphasized, laughing.

"Jeffrey, I'm joking, but I'm really not," Quinn admitted. "People serve, they risk their lives. some of them tragically die and they get medical courage and they should get the best medical coverage."

Then, the conversation went completely off the rails. Watch:
