Ian L. Bergman Ian started his life immersed in the "Tacoma Aroma" of that Washington port town, and has since lived in Minnesota, Massachusetts, Ohio, and most recently, the Emerald City of Seattle. Oberlin College was kind enough to grant Ian a degree in Politics in May of 2003. Ian's dual passions are technology and travel, and with the hope of pursuing both in the future, he is currently studying in the MBA program at the University of Washington. He has always enjoyed dabbling in journalism, from courses at "Hahvahd" while still in high school, to editing an award-winning yearbook and performing various behind-the-scenes tasks for college papers. Ian often finds himself following John into crazy journalistic ventures, and fervently hopes that this latest one will continue to succeed. Having spent periods of time in more than thirty countries, Ian considers himself mildly worldly; he certainly feels a desperate need to return to the Far East, to finally do that backpacking trip across central Europe, and to generally meet and chat with people from across the globe. His principal political concern lies in international affairs, and any candidate without a well thought-out and friendly international policy will find himself facing Ian's scorn. It doesn't particularly bother him that said candidate probably won't care. Rather surprised to find himself suddenly named an editor of rawstory.com, Ian nonetheless will remain a presence on the site, and can probably be blamed for most of the more useless stories found therein. There's no doubt he can be blamed for any technical problems that might come up. It's what he's here for. Ian can be reach at ian@rawstory.com, and those with some twisted desire to learn more about him can visit www.ianbergman.com.
