The Rats Are Eating Each Other
This is great, first they call the Religious Reich a bunch of idiots, now they actually use the R word and insult their base. Yup, those dumbass churchgoing rednecks. LOL!!

I love Rednecks
Being a redneck, I know Redneck is not an insulting term and Adam Putnam prides himself in being one of them. Putnam is perfectly OK, as one should be, to check polotical correctness out of the door when he is talking to his republican buddies. Tom3, try to make political hey somewhere lese - not in interior or northern Florida.

The boys in Washington just do not get it. Billy Bob finally understood that his standard of living declined as a result of thirty years of failed conservative economic policy.

Billy Bob, Hate to tell you, Bob3 has posted here a lot longer than you have. He can make "political Hey" here all he wants. After all, this is a POLITICAL blog, and a liberal one at that. As for Florida, you guys have Ann Coulter, Katherine Harris, and Mark Foley. That should be enough.

Tsk, tsk. The GOP should stop insulting its base.

Billy Bob, you think that Adam Putnam is a redneck? So... are all rednecks pasty ass pussies like Adam Putnam? The ones I know are nothing like that lily. The rednecks I know are actually men, not little pampered clowns like Putnam.

From Adam's Constituent Redneck
I am a self described white redneck who is one of Adam Putnam's constituent's. We in Polk (Poke) County have a rather wide description of the word "Redneck" - Jeff Foxworthy describes a redneck as one who lacks sophistication. This is true to a certain extent. I am highly educated, feel absolutely comfortable with the achedemic crowd, but would rather be with my relatives and friends that look like me, talk like me, and like me, have their own opinions about things, most of them strong opinions. If you think Rednecks agree about everything, and hold to a single party or line of opinion, you need to go a NASCAR race and see it from the infield, you will find out we are diverse in our opinions. As to what my congressman said, I believe there is some truth in what he said (I voted) as many of my brethren are so disgusted with people in congress in general that do not have any backbone whatsoever to stand up for what they believe in, are more interested in which way the wind blows (sic) than in how they really feel. A true Redneck can tell you without fear how he (she - see Gretchen Wilson) feels about any issue, and stand up for it. Dang, just listen to Gator and Seminole fans go at it, you'll see what I mean. As such, many Bubba's stayed away from the polls because there was nobody with a backbone to vote for.
