Perhaps secret service and the CIA should have secrets, as they are necessary to do the difficult job they are required to do. At the same time it is important that only the very best are ever hired for these jobs and that congress keep them on a short leash with oversight. The Swiss have the right to end or limit immigration in any way that benefits their society without the need for secrecy. Their secret banking accounts have robbed any numbers of governments of needed tax dollars and abetted crooks and thieves in their dirty work and money laundering. We here in America have watched is dismay as Bush has used secrecy to commit crimes and violate laws and wage foreign wars of aggression that the world knows are illegal. |
