| Al, that YouTube will be a classic. I have a soft spot for naive Palin, as long as she goes BACK TO HER PTA! Wendy D., nice that you are interested in Politick, I recommend the american classic book by William Shirer, "The Rise and Fall of the Third Reich". It's a long read but the characters are great, a great story based on a lot of fact. Shirer was a NYTimes reporter based in Berlin during the 3rd Reich. Now, be careful, your "Stab in the Back" theory might be telling. Here's something about it from Wickepedia: "Hitler had long admired Germany, and during the war he had become a passionate German patriot, although he did not become a German citizen until 1932. He was shocked by Germany's capitulation in November 1918 even while the German army still held enemy territory.[25] Like many other German nationalists, Hitler believed in the Dolchstoßlegende ("dagger-stab legend") which claimed that the army, "undefeated in the field", had been "stabbed in the back" by civilian leaders and Marxists back on the home front. These politicians were later dubbed the November Criminals." |
