Print This Email This President George W. Bush today told Palestine Authority President Mahmoud Abbas, "Welcome to Washington, D.C.," although the two were at the Waldorf Astoria Hotel in New York City.
Bush made the error during the meeting with Abbas, whom he described as "a man of peace."
The president is known for his verbal gaffes, often referred to as "Bushisms," collections of which are readily available on the Internet.
