Democrats were once again spotted by locals recruiting outside of the Camelot strip club in DC--this time on the fifth anniversary of the September 11 terrorist attacks--according to today's edition of Roll Call's Heard on the Hill.

Photogrpahers busted the DNC recruiting at the same club earlier this year.

Excerpts from the registration-restricted story follow:

On Monday, they, or some other Democratic National Committee workers, were at it again. One of the same HOH informants who spotted them back in June spotted them again on Monday.

The informant, a Republican public relations consultant whose office is across the street from Camelot, said he saw DNC workers at lunchtime — in jeans and T-shirts, just like last time — standing on the north side of the street across from the strip club.

...

A House Republican leadership aide who heard about the Democratic recruiting on M Street on 9/11 said, “Howard Dean had his people commemorate 9/11 by registering strippers oustide of Camelot? Classy.”

Actually, we hear they were fundraising. (Is that worse?) DNC spokesman Mark Paustenbach didn’t address the issue of working on 9/11, but said that, of course, DNC workers head straight for the strip club corridor on M Street. “It’s a good spot to run into Republicans who are looking for a new direction for America and who want to support Democrats this November.”
