Colbert started the interview remarking that although Lamont accuses Democrat Senator Joe Lieberman of being in bed with President George W. Bush, Colbert himself believed they were in "a menage a trois with America." They then discussed such issues as the viability of Lamont as a candidate, Iraq, and whether there is a need to stand behind President Bush at this time.
