Flynt Leverett, a former top White House official and CIA analyst, asserts publicly that the Bush administration is stifling criticism of its Iran policy. RAW STORY's Brian Beutler reported on this story Monday. A video of Mr. Leverett's Monday appearance at the New America Foundation press conference is below.

The New York Sun today emphasized Leverett's charge that "the White House does not want the public to know that in May 2003, the Iranian Foreign Ministry floated the prospect of a wide-ranging dialogue with America on everything from uranium enrichment to anti-Israel terrorism." Leverett can be heard discussing the allegation in the video.
