Spike Lee has added another two hours to his documentary on the victims of Hurricane Katrina, When the Levees Broke.
Lee plans to make the film an ongoing project. Future chapters will add coverage of other areas affected by Hurricane Katrina. A portion of the proceeds from the DVD will reportedly "be given directly to people in the documentary who need it." Lee wants to bypass large charity organizations that may not get money straight to victims of the deadly hurricane, which killed over 1,800 people and caused an estimated $80 billion in damages.
