Ten-thousand dollars sounds like a lot of money to some, but in the world of defense technology it’s mere chump change. But what if the most vital functions of expensive military hardware could be replicated inexpensively? A group of Swiss scientists took that approach to flying surveillance drones, coming up with a consumer-level UAV that checks in at just $10,000.
