Rep. Jerrold Nadler (D-NY), whose district covers Ground Zero, reacted Monday to the news that the U.S. had killed Osama bin Laden in Pakistan. He called it a “wonderful occasion,” adding that the U.S. should now get out of Afghanistan.

“This, I hope, will now give us the impetus for withdrawing our troops from Afghanistan, for which there is very little use that I can see for them remaining there,” Nadler, a vocal opponent of the occupation, said on Fox 5 NYC.
