Former Alaska governor Sarah Palin sat down with Fox News colleague (Palin has a contributor contract with the channel) Greta van Sustren for an interview that will air in full Tuesday night. In an excerpt posted to Fox News’ site, Palin spoke to van Sustren about her “One Nation” bus tour, saying that it was “not about me” and wasn’t a campaign tour “except to campaign on the Constitution, on our charters of liberty.”

She went on to say, “I don’t think I owe anything to the mainstream media. I think that it would be a mistake for me to become some sort of conventional politician,” including not informing them of her tour schedule or her political intentions, other than “highlighting the great things about America.”

In her blog, van Sustren said that she asked Palin whether she’d run in 2012, and Palin said only that she had the “fire in her belly” to run.
