A 27-year-old woman in Phoenix has given birth to a baby she carried outside her uterus. Doctors told her she was carrying the child in her abdominal muscles, surrounded by a thin layer of membrane.

They called her abnormal pregnancy one of the rarest medical conditions ever seen.

The boy was delivered about eight weeks earlier than hoped and at low birth weight, but he’s reportedly healthy and in good condition. Parents named the baby “Aslan Perfecto.”
