According to MSNBC’s liberal news host Rachel Maddow, former Alaska Governor Sarah Palin is taking an approach to campaigning that evokes images of Russian president Vladimir Putin’s carefully managed public persona.
Ignoring the media and staging outings purely to project carefully sculpted images, the MSNBC host said recently, is not something that exists in American politics today — but it will soon, if Palin’s media strategy is any indication.
