An irritated Rep. Anthony Weiner (D-NY) called a CNN’s Ted Barrett a “jackass” during a press conference after the reporter repeatedly interrupted and berated the congressman about his alleged Twitter hack.

“I’m going to have to ask that we follow some rules here. One of them is going to be, you ask the questions and I do the answers,” he told CNN’s Dana Bash, who — along with Barrett — was standing in front of him aggressively pressing him. “That’d be reasonable, right, you do the questions, I do the answers, and this jackass interrupts me? How about that as the new rule of the game?”

The New York congressman refused to engage the reporters about the incident in which lewd images were linked from his Twitter account, calling it a distraction from the real work he wants to do.
