In this video from CBS news, meteorologist Jeff Berardelli from Miami’s WFOR-TV takes a look at a tropical disturbance east of the Lesser Antilles.

The cluster of strong thunderstorms could organize into a hurricane or tropical storm over Saturday night. Multiple computer models suggest that once it forms, Tropical Storm Irene could make its way through the Carribean Islands, then make “a bee-line” for Florida and the southeastern coast of the U.S. later this week, possibly strengthening to hurricane strength along the way.
