Kathy Griffin on Conan Monday night described a meeting between herself and “cuckoo” Republican presidential candidate Michele Bachmann.

The two women met on an escalator in a chance encounter in Washington, D.C. and Bachmann’s staff began videotaping their meet-up.

“Congresswoman Bachmann, were you born a bigot or did you, like, grow into it?” Griffin asked Bachmann.

“That’s a good question,” Bachmann responded. “I’m gonna have to get back to ya.”
