MSNBC’s Rachel Maddow Wednesday explained how Republican presidential candidate Mitt Romney was like Thurston Howell, III, the “zillionaire” character from the 1960s television show Gilligan’s Island.

Maddow pointed out that Romney, who is worth about $200 million, had begun his campaign by trying to sympathize with the unemployed but he is now “going for the full Thurston” by declaring that “corporations are people” and campaigning in Martha’s Vineyard.

The Boston Globe also recently reported that the candidate was quadrupling the size of his mansion in La Jolla, California.
