It doesn’t bode well for your election prospects when your former campaign manager discusses your weaknesses on cable news.

Rep. Michele Bachmann (R-MN) will have to deal with that scenario, as Ed Rollins told MSNBC on Monday that the congresswoman will struggle to keep up with her main rivals as the GOP race unfolds.

“She doesn’t have the ability or resources to go beyond Iowa at this point in time like (Rick) Perry and (Mitt) Romney with lots of money could go into South Carolina, Arizona, Florida, lots of other places,” Rollins told host Andrea Mitchell Monday afternoon.

When asked about his thoughts on Bachmann’s much discussed HPV flub, the GOP strategist said, “Sometimes you say things you shouldn’t say, and that’s just part of her history.”
