It might be a good time to place a call to anyone you know in hell to ask them about the weather today. Apparently even staunch anti-Palinistas like Bill Maher and Keith Olbermann are appalled at the thinly sourced reporting and apparent rumor-mongering in Joe McGinniss’s new book, The Rogue.
On Friday’s Real Time, comedian Lous C. K. brought up Palin, but it was Olbermann who was forced to admit (after something of a struggle) that he’s actually “on her side” in this particular dust-up.
Don’t get him wrong. “That woman is an idiot,” he says, “But most of the stuff in there, why is it relevant, what’s the point of it, and how well-sourced is it?” His point, of course, it that Sarah Palin does enough on her own every day to ruin her electoral future. One shouldn’t have to resort to repeating rumors and gossip, as it appears to many that McGinniss has.
