At a hearing this afternoon, Dr. Paul Pillar told The Subcommittee on National Security on and Foreign Affairs that Iran may redouble efforts of its nuclear program if attacked. Dr. Pillar worked for the CIA as National Intelligence Officer for the Near East and South Asia and as deputy director of the CIA Counterterrorism Center.

To help make his point, Dr. Pillar noted response to a 1981 Israeli airstrike on an Iraqi nuclear reactor.
