A UN climate change panel agreed on wording to summarize a landmark report. The summary will be released by UN secretary-general Ban Ki-moon on Saturday. BBC reports that the wording will strengthen earlier climate change reports by anticipating “abrupt and irreversible” impacts.

Director of the climate change panel told BBC, “Climate change is here, it’s impacting our lives and our economies, and we need to do something about it.” The director also said, “After this report, there are no politicians left who can argue they don’t know what climate change is or they don’t know what to do about it.”
