WBZ’s Lisa Hughes talked with women’s rights activist Gloria Steinem about her views on politics now that the Democratic Presidential primary race is over. Steinem wanted Hillary Clinton to win but says women’s rights activists “will work our hearts out” to get Barack Obama elected.

Steinem told Hughes that doesn’t think Vice President is the best role for Clinton. Steinem said, “Her talents, her enormous ability to bring people together, to understand policy, to really know Washington and what it takes to get something done in Washington would be better used in the Senate than as a Vice President which has not been, traditionally, a very influential position.”
