In an exclusive report, CNN revealed top secret files from al Aaeda in Iraq that indicate the group’s extreme brutality may have led to its own unraveling. Execution videos created by al Qaeda in Iraq fell into civilian hands after fighters started switches sides.

CNN’s Michael Ware told John Roberts that the execution videos prove that al Qaeda in Iraq was an organization run by Iraqis instead of foreign fighters.

Ware said, “we learn that, as opposed to what some in washington would have you believe, al Qaeda in Iraq is home grown. It’s led by Iraqis and the foreign fighters that you hear talked about by some in the [Bush] administration are really just canon fodder being used as suicide bombers.”
