Partial Transcript

AMANPOUR: The sticks are continued isolation and what the United States has been doing for many years up until now. They’re coming — they’re not just blowing up the tower. They’re first going to give a full declaration of their plutonium and then get the reciprocals from the United States. It’s a negotiation. No one is going to say it’s fail safe. Even the United States says it’s not perfect, that it’s a good deal but not perfect. On the other hand, it’s the best deal that they can get at the moment. You can imagine the State Department is under some fire from the conservative wing, the conservative part of the republican — the think tanks. And Condoleezza Rice addressed this last week in front of the Heritage Foundation.

ROBERTS: And she was actually here for an editorial meeting that we both attended. She,as well, last week reraised this idea that they might have this uranium enrichment program.
